AMAZING SITE OF THE DAY: SNL Summaries & Transcripts For Every Show, Every Season!

Posted by Don Rose

-

Website:

http://snltranscripts.jt.org

Summary:

Detailed summaries plus transcripts for every show from every past season of SNL, a.k.a. Saturday Night Live. (Note: the show’s original name was simply “Saturday Night”.)

Details:

I cannot believe this website even exists, but I am so glad it does! Click on a year (1975 to 2011) and you see a list of links, one for every episode from that season of SNL. Click on an episode link, and voila, you see an overview of that show (segment summaries and pics), plus links to transcripts from (nearly) every part of that show. This site is a great tool for researchers, SNL fans, or anyone who just wants to revel in comedic history. Highly recommended.

by Don Rose

Wow, has it really been a century already? Yes, Universal Pictures is 100 years young (ok, old) this year! And we lucky Angelenos (in particular, Westwoodians) get to see three (count ‘em, three!) dozen classic screenings on the big screen at the Hammer Museum (Billy Wilder Theatre) to help celebrate the cinematic occasion.

TONIGHT, LATE NIGHT, See One of the BEST TREK FLICKS EVER On the Big Screen! “Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan” at The Nuart

by Don Rose
-
Hard to believe, but yes, 2012 is the 30th anniversary
of “Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan”, a film that
many Trekkers call the best of all the Trek movies.
It certainly would be hard to argue that point.
Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Chekov
and the rest of the galactic gang’s all here,
plus Ricardo “Corinthian Leather” Montalban as the villain,
and a great plot - what’s not to love?
So if you love Trek or sci-fi in general and somehow
never saw this movie, or if it’s been so long you’ve
forgotten enough of the film to see it fresh again,
go see it TONIGHT (Friday MAY 4) at one of LA’s oldest theaters,
The Nuart!
11272 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles
(a few feet from Sawtelle in West LA)
Show Time: 11:59 pm
