Mar 25: DONOVAN Live on Breakfast with the Beatles!

We hear that Donovan will be playing and telling stories, as only he can! He hung out with the Fab Four back in the day… below is a photo (of Donovan and some Beatles in India) to prove it.

Tune in Sunday morning to Chris Carter’s fab BWTB show - 9am to noon on KLOS, 95.5fm!

barry-effin-gibb: “Got this vinyl and commemorative magazine today along with clothes and DVDs! Yahoo!”
(Editor’s Note: I saw this magazine today at Ralph’s grocery store in Westwood, and it is a thick one, chock full of Fab Four facts and finds - some of which I’d never seen, like an outtake photo from their iconic Abbey Road album cover, shot from a different angle. This Newsweek commemorative issue celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Beatle’s first UK single, “Love Me Do” in ‘62.—DonRose)

Watch Paul McCartney Livestream Q&A With Press (Recorded Today Jan. 19 Morning)

In this casual question/answer session with a small group of media (Paul sits at the head of the table - far end), McCartney talks about a range of subjects related to his new album of standards (“Kisses on the Bottom”, which also includes two newly penned songs).

Topics discussed include: songwriting and song structure, the music of Paul’s dad, John Lennon and the music of John’s mom, the Beatles, Ringo (who recorded an album of standards years ago called “Sentimental Journey”), the release timing of the new album (Paul repeatedly put it off when other stars kept putting out THEIR standards albums), Fred Astaire, Fats Waller, Eric Clapton (who appears on the new Macca album), Stevie Wonder (who also appears), Diana Krall (who played piano on the album) and more.

A question from a German fan was also given to Paul to answer…

(VIEWING NOTE: Paul doesn’t appear for several minutes into the stream - he steps in around 07:27 - so you may want to pause for a while, let the cache build up, then “fast forward” 7+ minutes in to the point where Paul appears.)

Is This Our Future President? Cain You Imagine?

newsweek:

newsweek:

And now: Herman Cain singing an ode to pizza to the John Lennon tune ‘Imagine.’ SNL couldn’t even make this up.

I’m gonna need a transcript of these lyrics so I can learn them and then sing this in karaoke. Thanks!
