A ribbon-cutting ceremony and a day-long book sale will be held by the Friends of the West Hollywood Library (FOL), in celebration of its bookstore’s official opening. The event will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., in the AutoCourt of the New West Hollywood Library.
In addition to the book sale, the City of West Hollywood’s The Big Read 2012 programming will be introduced. Taking place in April, The Big Read’s focus will be Ray Bradbury’s classic book Fahrenheit 451.
A silent auction and refreshments will be part of the day’s celebration. In honor of what would have been Dr. Seuss’s 108th birthday this month, a beautiful handmade “Dr. Seuss” quilt will be auctioned. The bidding will close at 2 p.m.
The West Hollywood Library is located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood. For further information call (323) 929-2359 or visit Friends of the West Hollywood Library on their Facebook page.
